Liz Rideal will be included in the exhibition, COTTON: Global Threads which opens February 10- May 13, 2012 at The Whitworth Art Gallery, University of Manchester, UK. Featured in the exhibition will be work that was first conceived at Aurobora in 2001 when Liz experimented with printing from Indian saris onto mulberry paper. During this exhibition, Rideal’s works will be projected on to white saris that will be wafted by fans to create constant undulating movement in the gallery; by night, her light curtain will illuminate stairwell windows that will be seen from outside. http://cottonglobalthreads.com/case-study/liz-rideal/
